This letter is written with regard t o my personal and professional knowledge of Mr. Frank Musumeci. Frank is an outstanding individual as well as an outstanding educator and therapist/coach. I have known him for a decade and his professionalism, demeanor and skills are outstanding-both on a personal and professional level.
Frank developed and implemented the unique Biomechanical Musculoskeletal Evaluation program at the Pritikin Longevity Center, where I have been a Staff Physician and have had the pleasure of referring patients to him. Each time, patient's raved about Frank's incredible skill, knowledge, compassion and empathy. Perhaps this comes from his 27 years of experience both in outpatient physical therapy practice and his three years as a Physical Therapist in the NFL.
Franks unique concept is to educate patients with lectures and/or educational information about the aging process of the musculoskeletal system and then, incorporating their past medical history, current orthopedic limitations and contraindications, develop custom exercise programs, based on a biomechanical analysis of their current capacity to exercise without injury. This customized approach empowers individuals to safely exercise without fear and by avoiding injury tends to allow for greater compliance and much improved outcomes.
